What is the New Mexico Guitar Festival?

The New Mexico Guitar Festival is a 4 day event in Albuquerque, featuring concerts, masterclasses, and guitar ensembles. You will enjoy meeting fellow guitarists who share the passion for the classical guitar. The 2024 festival will be in-person, including ensemble rehearsals, master classes, and workshops.

Covid-19 safe procedures will be employed and may include temperature checks, health questionnaire, social distancing, and masks. Participants will need to sign an assumption of risk waiver to participate in the classes.

Participants will have the opportunity to perform in a guitar ensemble, masterclasses, workshops, and attend outstanding concerts by guitar professionals. Students range in age from 13 to 90+.

Guitar New Mexico is committed to educating and inspiring guitarists of any age. The Festival provides an affordable and efficient method to reach out to musicians seldom served by this unique art form, with the goal of motivating musicians of all ages to explore the guitar more deeply.
